Ideal world is 3 workouts a week minimum, and there are a lot of people who just do 3. 1 day will always be better than no days though, so I would focus on making it as effective as possible. I only lift 2 days a week as an endurance athlete, so I focus on compound full body movements to get the most from my workouts, not a bunch of isolation exercises. I would also recommend trying some at home workouts. I have a single set of bands that I can use for a lot (rows, squats, and some isolation movements), and there are other bodyweight options like push-ups, plyometrics, and pull-ups (of you get a pull-up bar). Definitely don’t get discouraged.
I have ADHD and use to compete in bodybuilding. You can make excuses for yourself but you’re hurting no one but you. 30-50 years from now you’re either a mobile, healthy senior citizen or … well just imagine someone who didn’t exercise much.
Why not find a gym near your home? You will get some immediate gains from being a beginner lifter.
I think at this point you’ve already heard that 3x a week is what you wanna aim for regardless of where. Once a week isn’t gonna do much for you. If you wanna live longer and have a better quality of life, you need a consistent, effective exercise routine.
