Ideal world is 3 workouts a week minimum, and there are a lot of people who just do 3. 1 day will always be better than no days though, so I would focus on making it as effective as possible. I only lift 2 days a week as an endurance athlete, so I focus on compound full body movements to get the most from my workouts, not a bunch of isolation exercises. I would also recommend trying some at home workouts. I have a single set of bands that I can use for a lot (rows, squats, and some isolation movements), and there are other bodyweight options like push-ups, plyometrics, and pull-ups (of you get a pull-up bar). Definitely don’t get discouraged.
Thanks for the encouragement. It's just hard starting off as I have ADHD and routines are such a struggle for me, so to hear that I "have" to do 3-5 times a week or do nothing at all is just not something I can do now until I get the ADHD under control.
At this point I'm not looking to change my body shape or weight, just was trying to slowly begin to get stronger and hopefully build up a routine. 5x a week sounds insane to me at the moment haha much respect for those with that discipline.

Why not find a gym near your home? You will get some immediate gains from being a beginner lifter.
