I have 7 years experience in sales. But I am relocating from North Carolina to Massachusetts.

A majority of my experience is in the logistics and logistics technology side of sales. I’ve been working remotely doing over the phone/ zoom demo sales. But I would love the opportunity to service my clients in person!

Can’t tell if I’m developing crushes on my coworkers only because they’re the only people I interact with (on zoom) in quarantine 😬

I’m interviewing at Slack and the recruiter is fantastic. She told me to take some time to think about my comp ask but that I should use my current salary at Meta as a guide but to go higher as staying at the same rate won’t do anything for the gender pay gap. I’m thinking of saying that I would like 15% higher but would also love to get an idea of what the salary range for a L6 or L7 marketer at Slack would be just to see if my expectations are in line.

Curious what firms are doing to keep people socializing during COVID. I miss my coworkers but I'm sick of zoom calls.

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?

Does anybody else think that the Wharton Slack & Discord groups are kinda quiet/inactive compared to admit groups from other schools?

I am noticing how I feel on a given day is largely determined by how my work is going. A minor bump in a work day ruins my mood and I’m miserable. How should I approach an ominous zoom appointment with supervisinpartner and managing partner? I’m a 3rd year associate. This is a new job, my first day was the first day the whole firm worked from home. It’s also much more challenging and demanding than my previous firm, which is what I wanted, but I haven’t been able to dive in and face the challenge the way I had planned to because I’m really struggling with working from home, both logistically and psychologically....

I'm currently working for a fintech firm as SQL Developer which has got me into a toxic working culture(zero support from colleges) with no learnings so far.

My sister wants me to pay for my father's hospitalization and related costs

My parents planned a trip to the US and never told me. My sister helped then plan. In the US, my father fell sick and had to be hospitalized. They did have travel insurance but there were still a lot of out of pocket expenses and other expenses related to rescheduling tickets, etc.

My sister contacted me once she got the bills and told me "as their son" I should be paying for everything.

Started a role in a brand new creative agency. ( brand new in this city but established in an another country)

The employer said I will be paid weekly but now after my first week, he said that they have to skip a week to align with the payroll.

And that he will be paying me from his personal account till they set up everything as a new business in the country.

Is that a legit process or do you reckon I start looking for a new job?
