Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!
Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.
11 YOFE
He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte

Can you give an example of what happened to push you to this point?
Yes, I’m curious to know more about what you experienced, as well. I’m so sorry this happened to you.
Love to hear as well. If you've asked someone to stop reaching out to you, you can disconnect to that person. I would hope if you were clear that you no longer wanted to be contacted they would not do so. I am a small business so everything is very personal but some of the bigger companies may just have bots or staff that reach out without consideration of any notes or comments you may have given in the past. Please don't lump all of us recruiters in together, because some of us consider ourselves life coaches, and do the very best we can to help professionals advance in his/her career.
I go back and forth on using a recruiter; interested on what you experienced.
I recently had a recruiting firm texting, calling and demanding that I approve that they submit to a firm. It makes me wonder if they submitted me without my knowledge and maybe that’s why they were so desperate for approval. I now submit myself. I wonder if self-applicants are better off? I don’t know.
If their recruiting firm is a member of NALSC, you can report them to the organization. NALSC establishes ethical guidelines for recruiters and law firms are also members. We're not all like this person and sorry you have experienced this. Also, if someone tells me no, I would not continue reaching out or wait like six months.
