I can tell based on LinkedIn sleuthing that they still haven’t filled the role, and I’m having second thoughts and think I would accept if I had the chance again. Would it be insane to reach out? Added context, the recruiter really messed up the process and that’s what left a bad taste in my mouth, but I probably would have gone for it if he wasn’t involved.

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

After you moved in-house, how did you get more comfortable reviewing contracts or counseling on issues you weren’t super familiar with? I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions.
