I see biglaw raising the salaries. I’m in midsize regional firm payed $163K class of 2014. We’re currently trying to convince the management to increase pay. It would be helpful to know how much are my peers getting at midsize, we know biglaw. Billing requirement is 1900. Good work life balance and kind people but still $$$ hella low.

Midsize 2015 $145k. We didn’t do increases in 2020 because of COVID. Bonuses based on hours after 1900. Praying for a double bump this year but if not... we shall see.

Class of 2018. Midsize insurance defense. 1800-but-really-2000 hours. 145k plus hour-related bonus. Hoping for but not counting on (sigh) a raise.

LA: 180 for third year

Am law 200, Midwest, class of 2017, 1850 billable, $155k.

New York midsize is where I am. Sorry should have mentioned this! So average salary is 150K for us. Regional US firm

What city?

Midsized C/O 2020, insurance defense $80k with impossible bonus structure for first years. No billable minimum but 6-8 daily is the goal.

What state?

Midsize, class of 2017, low cost of living city, $145k. Tbh, though, I think my firm's pay is below its peers' comp in the same city.

That sounds very good for a low cost city. I'm in Seattle making 145k with more experience.

The general rule of thumb for a mortgage is 28% (primary residence) of gross income. My firm switched up their process and now instead of nice size raises it’s large bonuses. So getting increasing my gross income doesn’t really change unless I include my bonus which is obviously a variable. Is their a recommended approach for these scenarios? Maybe use agi on tax return instead of gross income?
