I sent a report over to an adjacent team about a month ago. There were some nuances that I felt needed pointing out, so I highlighted them in my delivery email. The team lead called me today and spit-fired questions on this report I haven’t thought about for almost a month now, and 90% of my responses included the phrase “Oh yes, I get how that would be confusing, that’s why I made sure to outline that point in the email you received.”

I got laid off from deloitte. Now i work in cre asset management. I don't love my job. I am on visa (opt stem) . I need to work on finding happiness with my work to be more productive and be happy. Remember one thing - If some companies are laying off employees then it's equally a good chance for the other companies to get talented resource . Here things will remain balanced mostly and there's no need to fear . Not all companies do layoff at the same time. You may end up getting a 100% hike too. Just believe in yourself and focus on your skillset, time to brush up and pull up your socks. Stay safe , stay positive !

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!
