Write 20% better than you were doing
Put your thumbs in your suspenders when you walk around.
I guess I should have been clearer that I'm starting at a new agency as a Sr. Copywriter...some copywriter I am. 😩
Lol no. People arent going to treat you any differently. I hope for your sake it came with a pay bump. Otherwise you didnt get much out of that deal.
Sorry, I went back to edit, that sounded dickish. It's cool youre excited and nervous. You'll be fine. Good luck. (Everything from before is still true, and I do hope you got a raise.)
Part of it is that I'll be managing/overseeing other writers for the first time. But I also feel that I'm joining to help push more conceptual/big idea level creative, and I want to make sure to strike the right balance there.
I didn’t notice a huge change. Maybe a little more ownership of projects. Do what you were doing, communicate with confidence and be supportive of juniors. For me, having / sharing my opinions (vs. always deferring to CDs) has helped... obviously be diplomatic about it, though. Good luck!
Nice job! You’ll make mistakes, and then you’ll learn from them, and then you’ll be promoted again.
Don’t worry too much, not much changes other than your paycheck (hopefully)
Just keep doing what you were doing, you got promoted because you were already performing at that level and the agency recognized it.
Congrats on your new gig. Make a list of your best bosses' management/creative skillz. Look for opportunities to try those out in your new position.
Yeah, you’re already overthinking it.
What are you worried about?
Don’t act like a junior and you should be fine.
Doesn't matter, keep doing what you have been doing.
