Amazon as a Business Analyst. I
would really like to break into
product management and believe in
my 5 weeks so far I have shown skills
to back that up. Would it be
acceptable to ask my manager to
recommend me for a product

I don't want to dismiss your feelings but I think that's a pretty standard problem when you start a new workplace. Especially when you're still fairly young. That feeling will pass as you take on more responsibility and learn more skills within the company.
Congratulations on starting your first Admin job!
You are correct, to new coworkers, it is entirely plausible that your age might equal inexperience. The only way you can combat this, is to take it on the chin. Over time you will identify a few people in similar and different positions, where you can build ‘professional capital’. If you are like me, and not a natural joiner, you might have to push yourself to connect with others at work, in order to build natural professional relationships, and through work interactions, show them you know what you are doing.
Additionally, a bit of humility and humour can go a long way. It is ok to not know everything at a new job. You can build more professional capital by asking thoughtful questions about the company, the office dynamic, who to go to for specific information, insight on how management like to work. You can frame it as a Coffee Connect and simply ask a few people whom you gel with over the last 4 months, to give you the inside scoop. Humour comes in handy, when it is well placed, in tense situations to break the ice/tension and show them you aren’t going to run away at the first sign of stress.
I am not sure if this is your first Admin Job or First Job Ever ™, but if it is the latter, make sure you research healthy work boundaries. Emotional Intelligence (EQ) without solid boundaries, is just self-exploitation. I cannot tell you how hard it is to start setting healthy boundaries after the fact. I wish you all the best in your New Admin Job! 😊
