Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. It’s definitely a challenge for PMs in this industry. And I’ve seen many company wide layoffs over the years that seem to hit our department hardest or first.
But positive news, your skill set can be used in a wide variety of industries! Just search LI and see if there’s an industry or company that piques your interest. Network with other PMs in other industries. Do some research and you’ll see there are a lot of directions you can go.
On the same boat. I have tried applying to client-side marketing PM and the odd tech or SaaS. I noticed brands are turtling and trying to keep things in-house. It's hard to switch industries at the moment because there were so many layoffs this year. After chatting with recruiters, they found that companies would rather hire a PM with their relevant niche experience rather than take a chance with a PM outside of their industry. Network like crazy, and let people know you are looking. Hope things look better in January.

I made all my transitions via agencies. I’m consulting remote now. It’s also the easiest role to transition into. Hence why the PM challenges or finding roles that equally pay well. Good luck 🍀
That’s awesome! Would love some advice on how you did that!
