I used to enjoy my job quite a bit and find it engaging, but over the years, I've found that it has become more mundane and boring. This has happened with pretty much every job I've had after some time. Is this just what it's like? Do others stay interested in their jobs after years and years, or do you also have to switch around to get that "spark" back?

I think if you're doing something you don't want to do, eventually something will sabotage it. Boredom could be one form. Personally I think it's important not to spend a life doing what you don't want to do but solving that doesn't seem easy.

I am looking into pivoting into clinical research btw but from comments on here and from a recent interview, have gathered that it's stressful with constant interruptions which is a lot like the financial role I happen to be in. I'd love your opinion if you're inclined to share

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?
