Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Increases your insurance, high yearly maintenance cost, many buyers won't be interested in your house if you want to sell it in the future.
Limits pool use season - chances are you will have a community near you that offers membership or a local rec center that has a pool.

Yeah, for what it’s worth, my husband and I would downgrade a house with a pool. Too much expense, not enough fun. We’ll happily attend pool parties at friends’ houses for all the pool fun we need.

Idk, some things you can't put a number on. Does it need to have good resale value or just value to your family's wellbeing? Are the maintenance costs painful to swallow or do you have a lot of disposable income? Is it worth making your kids a little happier and maybe saving you time spent on chauffeuring to other pools?
I had a pool in NY and it was beautifully landscaped and helped sell the property. It was dark gunite, kidney shaped and had a waterfall built into a Boulder retaining wall, put in before us at great expense by previous owner and we loved it. When we had to sell in 2011, it was definitely a selling feature. My brother in NJ has a normal rectangular pool in the lower part of 1/2 acre property and raising his kids, they loved it and used all they could. Along with vegetable gardens and friend and families they created a great home life. If you can do the chemicals and cleaning yourself, it’s not a huge expense if already installed. I’ve also known people to buy property and have pool removed and filled in., for fear of toddlers..
Get an above ground. Way less commitment than in ground.
Because they're white trash.
...it's okay, America doesn't consider that racist.

Unless it’s a financial strain that you can’t handle , it’s worth it just for the family time Spent using it . Since Covid the demand for pools has skyrocketed and mostly beneficial in resale
I live in CA - i wish i had a pool! Probably the next house!
This is not your situation but we just moved to Arizona and bought a house with a pool and loveeeeee it. Im in here every day. I am typing this poolside right now lol. But of course our season is ~8 months a year and even more if we wanted to splurge on a heater. Maintenance here is cheap, too so for us 1000% worth it.

Arizona vs Wash DC metro!
Make sure you invest in a top of the line lockable cover and an umbrella policy, pools are killing machines
In terms of impact on value, ask a local realtor. It varies by area.
I know there are some communities in NoVA that have community pools, might be a good compromise? My pool isn’t a money pit but it is definitely a lot of work, I miss not having to do the upkeep.
The saying I’ve always heard is
“the best day of your life is the day you get a pool. The next best day is the one you get rid of it.”
