Where are you now (city)? Normally transfers make your pay go the wrong way. Why do you want to go to London? I worked there, can't say I'd want to go back and work there again. My pay was cut substantially compared to what I made in the US yet costs were a lot higher. It was a lose/lose for me. I would say look before you leap if coming from the US.

Adding to this: as a dual Commonwealth/US citizen, I had the right to work in the UK for 2 years before turning 30 as part of the Commonwealth youth mobility scheme (or whatever they call it these days.)

When I realized I’d get paid tens of thousands less than entry level jobs in the US for a 3-5 year experience job, I passed hard.

Europe/the UK is a place you retire if you’re an American, not a place you work.

Start applying to jobs there and don’t expect the KPMG US firm to transfer you. The US firm is a separate firm from the UK firm. It’s probably easier for you to apply to any other company in London.

Probably too soon for you to even ask since you haven’t even started yet. Once you start and prove yourself, you can talk to you PML and express your interest. They’ll have to support this move. If/when approved you deal with the HR person there, provided they have a need.

The US firm will not have the conversation with you until you’ve done one year.

I did the opposite move from UK to US. Global Mobility team informed me they only assist with 1-2 year secondments, whereas for a permanent move I had to apply for open roles myself and go through interview processes from scratch.

The internal secondment option requires approval from your home SPML and Partners whereas that’s not required if you find a role yourself.
The job offer comes first then visa application process follows.
Worth familiarising what visa you will likely apply for in the target country and whether it has any length of service requirements, for example the US transfer visa requires you to have worked at least 1 year with the related company.

Hi, Im interested to know the visa process for Australia on-site opportunity. I have been asked for CV before visa initiation. If anybody is aware of the process, could you please help me understanding the steps of visa process in TCS?
Will the visa be initiated by the management or by employee?
Also Project took management approvals for the on-site position when I joined the project, apart from this is there anything additional that’s required that can be time taking process before actual visa?

By any chance, does anyone have references in Singapore? I would be available immediately to join the organisation.

References will play an important role in the case of Foreigners in Singapore.
Thanks in advance.
