I want to switch to product management. Any clear pathway on how to do it?

Has anytime pivoted from a full time role to freelance and proposed to their current employer to take you on as your first contract?

Eg currently work at Droga full time, talk to boss that really want to switch to freelance, would love to stay on @ Droga for x amount of time

Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Is CPA crucial to break into banking?

I am going to work as Audit Associate at KPMG in 2023. I am thinking to stay there for more than a year, then make an attempt into banking. I really hate the CPA exams for its soul-crushing elements. I am rather planning to break into the top MBA programs at the time. I have financial resources to do so but I feel quite mixed after getting the Macc for KPMG position without pursuing the CPA.

Is senior software engineer a good position offered at persistent system for 3.2 years of experience in Webmethods development?

I passed CPA and have audit experience but I don’t really understand how industry accounting cycle works :( What does it mean to close the books? Are they referring to 12/31 deadline? Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.

What would you do in this situation?
