Week be looking good 🥹

Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

It's possible, but you have to find a firm that desperately needs to fill a role and has accepted they will need to train someone. Many firms were in that position about 9 years ago when post-recession deals started picking up because no one trained real estate associates during the worst of the recession.
Yes, it is possible to retool, but understand you’re basically starting over as a first year. It’s unfortunate, but most if your skills from your litigation career won’t translate over. Drafting PSAs, closing docs and the like is a completely different skill set than writing a brief. The way you interact with opposing counsel is completely different. Your client and the other side’s clients should be talking frequently. Just a whole different world.
With respect to learning, the best thing you can do is start trying to draft things. Look up Tina Stark’s workbook called Drafting Contracts. Get a new copy and work through all of the exercises. The techniques she teaches are gold star standards for drafting. Also not required, but handy, is the Redbook manual on legal style. For subject matter stuff, CLEs are great for the basics.
