I was hired as a STAT / Float Courier- for PAML. They're a subsidary of LabCorp. I worked for almost 5 years in this position. I quit because, I got tired of the different hours being in the position I was and I wanted a permanent route. I made it known to the supervisor and he said he'd see what he could do but he went and hired someone from the outside. Needless to say I wasn't happy and I quit. I went above and beyond what anybody else would do, especially because it was their responsibility.

I’ve been seeing all of the Instagram and Linked In posts from agencies in town showing their “commitment to transparency in hiring” and to hire more minorities in light of the BLM movement. I knew the numbers were bad, but holy shit, not THAT bad.
It’s infuriating to me, as a POC how many fucking times I applied, emailed and reached out to so many of these agencies without getting even the time of day.
I’ll believe their supposed commitments, when I actually see the results.
