So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I’m assuming you are asking if we think the job is still on since you don’t say. It’s hard to say from this, keep looking just in case this doesn’t pan out.
Based on that email I would not turn in a resignation! If you do get the offer letter I would want to find out about the internal adjustments before I signed.
What’s your question?
Unfortunately I would not want to work with a company has such poor management/communication. The hiring manager was given the go ahead and then someone said wait - moving parts is a nice way of saying we don’t have role descriptions- they’re not followed or weren’t budgeted to replace or add a role
To do so, make an employment offer , and pause is very unprofessional- it wouldn’t be accepted if you called and said I accepted during the interview but I’ll have to let you know my life has some unexpected moving parts.
