I was on the course with my mentor this week for a business related event. All the men continually thought we were the cart girls and asked us to fetch them things despite being in a regular golf cart and wearing our (not beverage or course) company polos. Part of me wants to just say “it was hot anyone could make that mistake!” But part of me also feels like it was sexist and, based on prior experiences, it’s hard not to feel that way. Thoughts on and advice for these situations?

Taking some golf lessons, got a women’s starter set I got to make sure I liked golf first. Instructor mentioned that the driver is like swinging a wet noodle for me lol and I should look into a men’s or one with stiffer flex. I have no idea what to look for. Are the people at Dicks Sporting Goods knowledgeable or worth driving the 40 min to PGA store?

I often get teamed up with male golfers as not many ladies play in my area. I feel like they feel awkward (cause they get silent around me, only saying good shot when I make a good shot) and so I start feeling awkward too, and it negatively impacts my game. Is it just in my head?

I went birdie/par on holes 1 & 2 today. Instantly became delusional that I’m going to shoot under par for the round. Followed it up with two doubles and shot a 98. Humbling game. 😂
