Hey guys, I'm an ex-Bain consultant building a presentation app that shows ways to visualize insights clearly and quickly. We turn blanks into 60% WIP materials in seconds and have an early demo at depiction.ai - would love to hear what ya'll think! Brutally honest feedback would be much appreciated.
Name and shame the firms doing stealth lay-offs.

It's shown up in so many ways...
1. Asking if I could keep up with the demands of the job I was applying for after disclosing I was a new mom during an interview.
2. Being told I should change companys/organizations because my "image" was of a more jr person. But couldn't explain exactly what about my behaviour or actions contributed to the image.
3. The lack of transparency in pay across the company. I'll always suspect their is still a gender gap based on external data, but leadership not addressing it by showing the facts to our company is sus.
4. People calling you "sweet heart".
5. People intentionally trying to undermine you by addressing you by a title lower than the one you achieved (i.e being a director, but referring to you as a manager and men as a director)
6. People defaulting you client/presentation responsibilities because "you present well" or "connect with people". But noticing men don't need to take these on...
7. People defaulting note taking during meetings to you..
After a decade in industry, the list is endless. Not all at the same company, but there is progress and I hope you find a better place in your next role. Its their loss at the end of the day ❤️
I'm a female ethnic minority working in senior level at a traditional corporate company and white supremacy is an unspoken rule, regardless of gender. And from experience, it's something we've all "gotten used to" or learnt to get by, besides the Diversity & Inclusion team doesn't help either. It used to bother me but I figured I have worse problems to deal with, i.e. passive aggressive management and colleagues.
I'm so sorry you have to go thru this !. I'm what they would call white privileged. It is my experience that my own kind have bullied me on more than one occasion. I find Im treated with far more respect from ethnic minorities.
I thought It was a personal problem until I discussed it with two close friends. I was surprised that they felt the same way. Remember, simple people with simple brains.
Life your best life always.
I haven’t experienced this
Executive Boards only care about results
Seriously, it was a gaslighting test
Was it a boys club type of environment? Have you talked to a lawyer about what legal recourse you may have?If you are part of an official board the board has a fiduciary responsibility to the entity they serve, they should care about diversity and the contributions of each member etc.. you should consider legal advice.
