I would like to make a CPE course. Nerdy I know. Anyone have experience creating one and how difficult was it to jump through the hoops/requirements?

It's a bit of a pain to get it outlined and detailed in the manner necessary to get NASBA approval. The firm has resources on a training team that can help. They also will help you through the approval process.

like

Most trainings at big 4 are done my national learning & development teams with WNT reviewing all tax technical items. They usually don’t allow just anyone to create a training since there’s risk the material may be incomplete, incorrect, or not covering all fact patterns.

Agree with EY2 there’s another layer of complexity with getting the material NASBA certified for CPE. People don’t like attending trainings that don’t give CPE..

It depends

I have! The part about getting CPE-compliant wasn't too difficult (specifics on agenda, minimum number of questions/credit hour, minimum amount of time/credit hour). The firm helped with this. Putting together the content was difficult.

What service line are you? I can help!

Thoughts on seniority? Also, any interview resources for PE portfolio roles?

Less of a question, more of a request... stop asking your junior BIPOC strats to work on BLM briefs because they are the only voice of color on your team. In a time where we need support grappling with our very REAL realities and how it impacts how we show up in the agency, the LAST thing we need is an “opportunity” to express our “unique POV” on a diversity brief (that we won’t even get to speak to none the less). Imagine having to chanbel your trauma into a deck to sell in an idea to clients?

Just finishing my first week in as an audit intern and genuinely I have no idea what I'm doing or even a general idea of the audit process. The senior associate left the engagement last week so it's just me and an associate, and they don't have time to give me instruction.

Am I stupid or did the e-learns not prepare me for any of this? The training told me I'd be auditing cash but I haven't even touched a bank reconciliation.
