I’d love an updated perspective on interview attire for JD-preferred roles. When I graduated 15 years ago, the rule was simple: navy suit and neutral blouse. I haven’t interviewed in person since 2017, and I’m seeing mixed advice now — some say suits are outdated, navy suits make you look junior, and elevated business casual shows cultural fit. For those hiring or in the job market, is a pant suit still the safest option? Any tips appreciated!

I’m looking for a new job and have found that small companies send me rejections quickly and the huge companies are the only ones giving me a chance. I thought it would be the other way around. I really just want a new job and I think I’ll have more luck passing the interviews for smaller companies than the big ones.
