Do not sell, unless you are trying to speculate a bitcoin drop

By that logic, do not hold unless you’re speculating a bitcoin rally

You'll pay 30% capital gains tax if you sold in less than a year and 15% if sold after a year.

How are cap gains calculated? What if I converted other cryptos into BTC. Do I account for the cap gains from the original USD or was I supposed to pay off the cap gains when I converted

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?
