If anyone is studying for the CPA exam during busy season, what section are you studying for and what does your study schedule look like? I’m studying for FAR and schedule is 5-9AM each day.

Ive been trying to study roughly from 5am to 7-730am, and from 4-830 pm Monday through Friday, and roughly abt 10 hrs both on Saturday and Sunday. I’m waiting for FAR, studying for audit now, will take in in two weeks, and hopefully take reg in Feb.

Wow very speedy

I am taking far on January 29th, I am hoping this will be before my busy season starts. I am taking audit in March... I have figure out a study plan yet.

I’m waiting for my BEC score in a week and have started studying for FAR. Taking the far live course 4 hours per day on M/TH and probably will be spending 12-16 hours on the weekend from now until March

Studying for FAR retake.

Business combinations, non profit, government, compensations, LTD, Revenue Recon. Income Tax. Pretty much a little bit of everything on all my exams. I’ve never finished one. Kind of a bummer since my trending MCQs is so high. Trying a new timing strategy 👀

Would anyone be willing to connect for internships or work for companies that love non-traditional candidates? Thank you

"Everybody can be a leader" some say... "Leaders are nurtured not born" say others... True.

But... this is also true: "not everybody wants to be a leader" (whether they can or can't be). It is a fairly common practice in organizations with traditional career management structures for people to "be promoted" into leadership roles as the "end steps of the corporate ladder" that was climbed doing technical work. And, unfortunately, this doesn't work all the time

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
