Agreed with what was said above. If you have your CPA, you don't need MBA. If you are working on CPA, concentrate on that. Yes, many of our team members have their MBAs, but it is not a requirement. I'm a partner and don't have my MBA.
And you’re a millionaire so that proves the point!!
If you want to work in audit , get a masters or bachelors in accounting . Make sure to go to target school where big4 recruits . That's all you need. Don't get an mba, it will be waste . Plenty of mbas can't find jobs
He is right……. You don’t need an MBA to be a senior auditor……. If you don’t have your CPA put your energy in that cause an MBA isn’t gonna help for manager promotion.
Happy with my MAcc, but I wasn't an accounting undergrad and so it was my way of getting into field when I realized my undergrad major wasn't going to do me any favors at the time. Beyond that though, having a graduate degree has done exactly squat for me once at EY.
Deloitte 1 responding on fishbowl like they are deep in the guidance
Sorry but he's right. Definitely don't need an mba for auditing
MBA has no bearing on becoming a senior auditor
No. Public accounting only cares about your CPA license. Literally no one cares if you have a bachelors or a masters. No one cares if you got your extra credits for basketweaving. Just get your CPA license.
I did the same thing
He right, you wrong.
If you’re trying to get into audit at a big four firm, an MBA will do you no good. Get your CPA.
You don’t need your MBA for a senior auditor position. Like others have said, it might be best to focus on obtaining your CPA. But also, it seems like you really want your MBA, I say go for both! 😊
I want to agree with everyone who said getting your CPA would be more beneficial to your career. But I'm also a spiteful person and would get my MBA to piss off my husband.
You go sir 🫡
You are with whatever decision you make. Hes your husband not your keeper.
Bruh Deloitte 1 sounds insufferable…… they want to be a team till it’s something they want to do.
We are missing context here and all the details are left out about your qualifications and work experience you have so far. You are asking for opinion but completely missed out the facts that would be needed to conclude an opinion.

We have the context, OP believes that she needs an MBA to be an audit senior. That belief is wrong as you do not need an MBA. Case closed.
You just need to get promoted to senior then apply. MBA is if you want to leave accounting
Your husband is correct here. Need a CPA if you want to be an auditor.
If you are a CPA already, then you can go for a MBA if you are interested. No hurt. If you are not a CPA, then go to get it first.
