Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Depends on which network you’re in. Some have anti poaching rules so HR needs to be aware for you to apply even if it’s within the same group.
Well the ones that have those rules are also supposed to support people moving within the network so it’s more of a “I’d like to explore opportunities within the network” conversation. It creates opportunities for you and the company should prefer it to good talent going to competitors.
OP, you wouldn't let HR know you're looking for a new job. Director 1 said you should let them know so you could find something else within your holding company. LOL, as soon as you let HR know, you're gone. One way or another. These Holding Companies are their own worst enemy.
I moved internally multiple times that way so I think it depends on which network you’re in perhaps? Definitely good to be cautious though as not every manager takes it the same way. In terms of HR, if the holding company has clear rules around it, they usually follow those (or at least should be).
If you move within the network, you’re not terminated at one place and hired at the next. It’s a transfer. The paperwork is different. So yes hr will need to know, but they don’t need to know too early. And yes you’ll need to agree on an end date with your current agency. It’s not the same as leaving for a completely different company.

My holding co guideline is the employee/other agency in our network can have one conversation to assess if mutual interest, without disclosing.
After that .. if both sides want to keep talking ... the employee should let their supervisor and/or HR person know that there is an opportunity within the network they are interested in pursuing and essentially disclose this. The “hiring” agency within the network is then supposed to work/talk with the other agency.
There is also a cap on $ for lateral transfers within network to prevent salary inflation.

^ yeah. Jumping ship is really the best, possibly only, way to make decent salary jumps these days. Unfortunate but reality.
I dont know but my guess would be that an HR person could look it up if they wanted to look into it (and if they knew how—my ONE HR person didnt even know if vacation days carried over)...but its not like they get an alert to their phone or anything.
The recruiter might have to contact your HR if you’re looking within the same holding company.
You’re supposed to tell them and your manager if you are applying to in network. They can’t interview you unless you do that, my friend had to do that to transfer.
