Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

May 14, 2027 at precisely 11:39 am. I won’t tell you which time zone though, you’ll have to figure that out for yourself.
Whops I’m sorry i fat fingered and meant to write 2026 XDDD

You want to find a new job between now and July 2027?
I’d recommend that if you CANNOT leave before July 2026, then you’ll want to start looking in June 2026. If you can leave for the right opportunity than start looking as soon as you are ready.

You seem somewhat over-confident in your marketability. When was the last time you looked for a job and have you been tracking peers in your specific area of expertise in their job hunting metrics?
From November 2022 to September 2023, it took approximately a year of interviewing to get a job.

If you can’t move before July 2026, I would start looking in April 2026.

Why not start now? Worst case you find a new job before then

Then start applying in November unless you see something you can’t pass by
A year prior
I’d recommend starting to network now, before you actually need the role. Set up informational interviews with other ex-Deloitters or university alumni who currently have roles or are at companies that you’re interested in. It’s a great way to get some tips in a low stakes environment and build relations which will make your job hunt easier once you actually need the new role. I actually had someone I reached out to on LinkedIn tell me not to apply for their company due to certain events taking place which helped me easily remove a company from my list I was originally interested in.
Considering you’re planning to move to a new city, I recommend start looking in January. If you get something before July, blame it on the school year and family commitments. Tell them you can do remote for the first couple months as you onboard, then plan to be in office in July when you move. Or let them know you need to remain in the city you’re in until July and could have a start date after xyz date. Worst case scenario, you continue your remote work longer while you look for a job when you arrive in your new city.
