If someone applied to a role without a recruiter and didn’t get it, are they forever on the “pass” list? A recruiter said I am not eligible for a role because the firm previously passed on my application. I applied when I was a newer attorney with very little time under my belt. Seems odd I would not be able to reapply once I had more experience, but maybe that’s the way this game goes. TIA

I am a business development manager in a small biotech incubator. My end goal is to work in commercial, BD or operations within a big pharma/biotech company. What would be best for me:

1) stay in my company to quickly become BD Director and then exit (however my learning opportunities within my current company might be limited)
2) go do consulting for a few years

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC.
