I've known of people who did that. It's a situation where if you need a job and an income, it might make sense. It's reasonable to be skeptical of the place because of how it ended last time, but if you can put that behind you it might be a good idea.
I feel like since I didn't burn any bridges when I left it might even give me a slight advantage when it comes to getting hired, and that makes a big difference in the current job market. It might be worth it to leave the past in the past.
It is your boss who let you go and NOT the company! The relationship between you and your company is purely business in nature and NOT personal. They let you go when they want, and you leave your boss when you want! That's all. Don't worry about joining the same company. You don't stop going to Walmart just because you did not like a CSR working in one of their stores
Nothing is ever guaranteed when it comes to the security of your job. Might be worth it though if you feel like it is. I would say in the worst case scenario you can use them and lose them. I probably wouldn’t feel great either about going back, but the market truly is brutal out there right now.
I was considering that too, if a better offer comes along I can give them a taste of their own medicine and not feel bad about leaving without giving notice lol
I’ve seen it done but don’t think I would do it personally. Unless of course my situation was dire.
Yeah I can definitely see both sides for doing it or not. It's definitely not on my short list, but I think I want to keep an open mind
