Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

I’ve never heard of a judge affirmatively calling a law firm after a clerk is done interviewing. Law firms will usually reach out for the reference check. Maybe in situations where the judge is friends with or close to a law firm partner a call would make sense, but if there’s no connection between the judge and the firm I don’t think that would be appropriate.
This is close to what I was thinking as well. Thanks!!
I agree with LC1. Some clerks might do this but I wouldn’t. I think it puts the judge and the partner in a pretty awkward position. At most, I’d consider telling the firm that your judge has offered to serve as a reference if helpful to their decision. Then the firm can decide if they want to have that conversation
Thank you! I feel like it’s awkward too unless the partner or recruiting team specifically asks to talk to the judge.
When I left A3 clerking, I put both my judge and the career clerk as references. I knew that most lawyers aren’t going to call an A3 judge for a reference check, but it would look sketchy if I didn’t list the judge. Thus, the career clerk was an easy secondary person who the hiring lawyer could call and talk about me with and who could also give a good reference, and that’s exactly how it played out.
Do what the career clerk recommends. The career clerk knows the judge and what has worked out well for other former term clerks. Sincerely, a career clerk.
