If you leave B4 for boutique consulting, will it be a challenge to land a f100 role down the road or will there not be an impact?

Haha no.

I joined a boutique years ago. Landed a SVP role at a F50 afterward.

like

Yep.

It may be counterintuitive but many SVP+ roles require serious expertise in a given domain.

Boutique PMDs frequently have this expertise relative to larger firm PMDs just by the nature of the more focused work they sell and deliver.

I left B4 for a boutique then left the boutique to come here so absolutely not

like

What level are you now? What’s down the road? I imagine harder to land a very senior role at a f100 from a boutique, but probably not too different from b4 if you are looking at ~director level roles or below in industry. Also not all boutiques are equally known/respected

Nah. It’s rarely prestige that gets you a senior job in industry. Much more about your knowledge/expertise/proven impact in a given function.

Hey fishes. I have been offered Management Consultant role with CTC break up in terms of JB, RB, fixed and variable. So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? Also, will claimable components like LTA, mobile bill reimbursement etc. be in addition to this fixed component or will they be included in it?

Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?
