I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

Experts please help.

Yes unless you're jumping to big tech like Amazon (their "seniors" are paid and work like managers).
I would yes. You can sell the tremendous skills you gained and responsibilities you had at Big 4 and how that will translate to be able to excel in your new role although there will be a transition learning curve. Big 4 experience goes a long way. Don’t underestimate your abilities or marketability.
Yes it's a big step back. Especially since new grads can get senior accountant roles
Yeah unless it's paying 100K+ then it's a step back. I'm making that as a second year senior accountant
It’s a small step back but not as big as you think. If you were a heavy senior, you would still get a senior accounting role. You may need another year or two in public to leave for manager of FR or the like. Just make sure you get paid based on experience.
My assumption is you’re going to a FANG or F100 firm for this role. Or a hyper growth startup with plenty of stock. If you’re going to a F600 or private company, then absolutely not. The right role will pay you $150-200k for a senior accountant all in, at a minimum.
Maybe you could join a smaller or private company as a manager and learn the ropes that way while still getting paid well and keeping your title/managerial responsibility? You worked hard in PA and made manager so don’t discount your experience
I might be going against the grain here, but title is only the 3rd most important thing to me.
First is the money. I’d rather take a 130k senior account role at a large company than a 110k manager role at a small company.
Second is the skills / job responsibilities. Does the skills being asked match the job title being presented? Does my skill set match what the company is asking for? Are the things that don’t match learnable quickly or will I need months of hands on experience? Just a few questions to ask yourself as you go through the roles.
Third would be title. Title inflation is real. Some companies will try to sella job as more important as it really is just to attract talent. What the point of being called something (let’s go with the director) if the money and responsibilities don’t align with the what the rest of market expects.
Yes
You stay til manager to leave as manager
