I’m 2.5 years into my postdoc and my PI thinks I should stay another year to get 1 more strong publication out. I already have 2 papers, just not in top-tier journals, and I’m starting to feel like I’m delaying the next step. At what point do you stop trying to optimize your CV and just move on?
