I’m a beginner considering getting fit at my local Club Champion or PXG (I’m eligible for their Heroes discount) and want to purchase some quality clubs I can grow into rather than purchasing a box set and upgrading in a year (cost isn’t an issue). Any advice?

Take the “fitting” money and spend it on 2 or 3 golf lessons. Maybe your local club or GOLFTEC would suffice. Then develop your swing. Hit 1000 balls. Then get fitted.

like

Buy the box set... Unless you are really tall or short there's almost 0 value in getting fit for clubs as a beginner. Learn to swing with basic clubs and learn how to score, then treat yourself to new clubs once you can break 90.

How much of a beginner are you?

Depending on the response I would go with Bain 1’s comments or go to like PGA super store and get their free fitting to get length, lie and flex and just buy a used or a box set

Pretty beginner as I’ve never been on an actual course. I’m fairly athletic and have been to driving ranges/top golf, etc. but never played a round in my life.

Then I would recommend just trying out at PGA store and testing out couple of stuff.

For you I would recommend figuring out flex of the shafts, length (if you are really tall or short) and what you like. You should buy a used one there or online then once you’re good enough or feels like outgrown the clubs from increased speed, accuracy or etc. then get fitted again

Some of the worldwide golf shops (eg edwin watts) will do a starter set deal with credit for that amount towards a set within the year when ready

3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Mind you, I was working FOR FREE as it was a school connected externship. That made me never want to work in the law.

I try to ignore and just stay focused on what I need to do yet sometimes proves challenging. I worry it might affect my professional/career growth. Thoughts on this would be helpful, thanks!

Don’t seem to see that many online and there wasn’t much choice at the store…
