Listen, if it gives you wings
You don't need to drink a red bull (although I'm not saying that won't help) but maybe have a pre-interview routine that kind of gets you psyched up and in a different frame of mind, especially if you wfh. Maybe a good playlist, a short run, or just like a walk around your place to get your blood pumping and your headspace ready for social interaction and being "on" if that makes sense.
Think of the interview as you are interviewing them too! You’re just as much in control so act natural

Standing up and putting your lap top higher. It allows you to open up more when speaking. Easier for phone calls but also works for video ones too

That could actually be good advice. I'll try it, thanks.

What does compressed mean?
I felt the same way when I was interviewing heavily! I agree with SC1 in regards to playing some music and doing some light stretching, try and move around a bit and use your hands and try and pretend you’re in a room with that person. You can also totally mention you love in person interaction and are looking forward to meeting coworkers in person if the role isn’t 100% remote so they get a sense of your personality.
I like to think of a fun anecdote to start the conversation. Like if it thundered that day and we are both in the same city “omg did you hear that thunder?!” Or something else to answer the standard “how are you?” question. Like, “good! I just tried this new place out down the block for lunch and it was delicious”
It doesn’t have to be terribly exciting but it helps break the ice.
Also this doesn’t come naturally to me, so part of my prep is thinking about the ice breakers.
Put a separate window over your camera preview so you’re forced to look at others instead of your own live view. Makes remote interviews feel a more natural since it’s odd to see yourself while you’re speaking with others.
I always drink an energy drink. It really does help me to amp it up.
