I’m a little confused with the titles. I’ve been a group account sup for some time now. In the company I’m applying it’s “account director” or “senior account director”

I would assume next typical title would be Vp, group account sup. But if that doesn’t exist, do I apply to senior account director? Just don’t want to make a lateral move as I’ve been a group account sup for almost 2.5 years now

Rising 2nd year here: been rethinking my choice as an M&A attorney. I've had a rough go of it over the first year-and-a-half of practice and am thinking about moving to a different practice area. Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Definitely not ready to go back to that….

Trying to figure out from a client relations perspective how much I need to be fluent in Google Analytics and the planning and buying process of paid media: social and search.

I’m a seasoned AD and am considering an VP Account Supervisor position but feel like I am losing earned value without having Director in my title even though it’s a VP position. Am I overreacting?

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

Anyone know what the current atmosphere is like in McCann New York after they lost one of their biggest clients, U.S. Army? Does losing such a client deteriorate an agency’s culture/career prospects?
