I'm a senior strategist/writer with 10+ YOE. More of my clients are getting behind on their payments these days, and I'm fed up with chasing late invoices. My current terms are 50% upfront, but I'm seriously considering requiring 100% payment before I even begin a project. For those of you who require full payments up front, how's it working for you?

In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

Friendly reminder folks- don’t work for Havas Health and You. They cut the freelancers hourly rates, again and made it so there’s no OT. The resource manager at HOV said if I couldn’t swing $80 an hour as an HCP copywriter, she’d have to find someone else. Good luck 👍🏻
