Ladies, are gifts important to you?
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Switching firms is the easiest way to switch practices
I switched out of audit from EY to another big four into their TAS practice recently. It was quite easy actually as I was familiar with the work done and had somewhat relevant experience in my jobs within audit as there was several engagements with M&A activity that I covered areas on. Try contacting a recruiter from another big four or apply online
Look on the careers page on the EY website and look to see if any senior positions are available in city/service line you are interested in. From there, network with anyone you can and find the right person in that service lines talent department. If they are interested it should be an easy process, especially with a 5. Good luck!
If that doesn't work out, switch to another big four firm like I did to get what you want
@EY1 thanks for the insight! @EY2, do you really think switching to another big 4 would allow me to switch practices? Seems unlikely, but if you disagree, how would you go about facilitating that?
