What is a PTA position. I didn't know the GASB had a parent teacher association
Great opportunity. Know a friend that did it. Was open with PwC from the start, they said go for it and after we'll hire you in as a senior after. Don't think it was in audit though. Kinda hard to senior when you haven't done the three years of work youll be budgeting/reviewing
Senior after 1 year at the fasb? So basically you van skip a year?
PwC is 3 years to senior
I have 2 friends who did that at the FASB and told big4. The big4 wouldn't hold thier spot but said "we will be in touch". After 1 year at the FASB they were hired at big4 as a senior. No guarantee but if you want to be an auditor you don't want to miss out on your shot at the FASB
FASB ****
Postgraduate Technical Assistant? Basically doing the grunt work for the FASB for a year instead of doing grunt work for the Big 4.
Sorry he's not an auditor he is a consultant but either way if you don't want tax this is a good opp for you
Do fasb. U will get paid more at pwc for it
Ya I still need to interview so it's not a done deal by any means- just looking for any tips, or the perception of those that did the program from their colleagues. I was in Financial Markets at PwC so not totally audit
One of my coworkers did it. She had a job with PwC but got the PTA job. She really didn't want to do audit and I don't know the story of how she talked to them but she ended up in EY FAAS as a senior 1. She did say some went back to audit and essentially started over so it'll get you a title bump and higher salary than other second years but just not audit, which doesn't sound like you're in.
