I'm a UX Designer with 2 years of experience. My hike at the current company I'm working at was 30% in July'23. I've got an offer from a Design Studio based out of Bombay, but I've an option to work remotely. The studio is offering a 20% hike with a promotion in my role (Sr. Associate UX Designer).

Is it worth it financially to move to a company with the % of hike they are offering!

Recently got a contract job at Facebook NY. I’ve mostly only been a FTE for the entirety of my career, so a bit nervous as I want to eventually be offered FT but feeling a lot of pressure to perform for the next 5 months to prove my worth. At some point it will surely get exhausting. Any tips for how to deal with this? Also curious to know what a mid-level PM normally gets paid as a freelancer?

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?

Do partners know each other’s compensation? I see partners selling engagements for vastly different numbers b/w shorter ‘interesting’ strategy work and longer ‘boring’ transformations. Thoughts?
