How many direct reports, and sub departments/teams does the CPO have, and what are roles are you hiring for (Traditional HR roles or more fluid/hybrid People Ops roles)?

What am I worth in terms of TC? SDE, 6 YOE, background at a startup and 2 mid-level companies, MS degree. Assuming I'm desirable enough for interviews at a handful of good places. Not based on a previous salary, just objectively.

Someone messaged me about the interview process for the M&A group at Deloitte and I accidentally ignored it… overall it’s your standard interview process. Few behavioral and a case. Case difficulty depends on interviewer but is usually (based o my understanding) a rather straight forward M&A case with a bit of a strategy twist.

I see a lot of LinkedIn posts about how we are all shopping offers and how this should be stopped. What do you all say? I feel like in case they feel it's a "crime", HRs should not proceed if we say I have a standing offer in the beginning itself. Only firms can poach people who join for lesser salary (even though market standards say otherwise) but we can't seek for better offers?
I feel trapped. I hate consulting, hard work, corporate life in general. I have so much student debt after MBA school that I have to take these high paying jobs that require a lot of effort but I just don’t think I’m built to do this forever. I don’t spend much on other things but it’s scary what happens to my finances if I make a major purchase like a house, have a kid, etc. Not sure if I’m asking for advice or rambling
What does being terminated as an associate look like during WFH? Our office is having a serious drop in billable hours. If one of us was terminated, how awkward is it to get things from the office?
60M people need to be vaccinated. Offering them $1000 each would cost this country $60B. Realistically, you can get to half of that population — $30B. One booster shot for 250M people at 80% uptake — $200B. For $30B - $230B, we can end the pandemic in the USA. Worth it? Edited: add in $5M for an MBB to do this math and put it in a PPT for you. And $50M for a big 4 firm to implement, botch, reimplement.

Has anyone successfully negotiated their contracts in the Big4? If so, how did you do it and how did it go? I’m an S1, will get my raise in October... BUT… The market is hot right now, and I can leave an make more— but I would like the opportunity to stay and them bargain with me to stay since we are short staffed. I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company.
