I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

We don’t do that
Right now you’re more likely to be staffed twice in parallel than not at all
Sounds awful.
Not trying to sound flippant, but why does anyone accept a job at IBM? They've been doing this same kind of thing for over a decade.
ATK & OW are great firms and I hope the interviews go well! If there is anything at Huron you’re interested in, feel free to DM me.
Slalom is too, our bench in many markets is stupid thin.
Honestly, the best way to avoid feeling that dread is to pick your next firm really deliberately. I almost took a job at GBS out of college, and I declined their offer because recruiting was a shitshow and they projected their lack of organization as flaws on the candidate. That made me worry (rightly so) that that attitude wouldn’t stop there. Pick up with a firm that actually gives a damn about you and they’ll help pull you out of the shell shock just by the daily lack of bs or making you feel like the problem
Deloitte has no bench. Currently staffed full time on two projects in parallel
If you are a cyber person, Booz is hiring like crazy. PM me if you’re interested
I’m enjoying reading only the very first row of this post 😂
Hard to believe A.T.Kearney and OW will give you a lateral move vs a Deloitte. I’m at A.T.Kearney and there’s no way we will bring in someone from IBM after a year’s experience as a second year BA or even an SBA
What level are you and how did you get interviews at ATK and OW?
Deloitte has no bench. Come on over.
Anyone at Deloitte want a referral bonus?? I’m in the same boat as OP
Howd you get OW/ATK interviews? What level at IBM?
How do you dm someone?
So, can anyone refer me to positions in cognitive computing and AI/machine learning?
Thanks everyone! I already have some offers -Very glad to hear this
@consultant 1 I networked. I'm a year in and the MBB and deloitte were for entry level, but the smaller ones were for a more senior role
OP congrats on the offers!
Out of curiosity, did you find that your yearlong experience at IBM was relevant to the firms giving you interviews and offers?
Currently not too happy with the area I'm being pushed into at Acn at the one year mark, and have wondered if other firms will bother interviewing me for more strategy roles with only implementation experience.
So what was the purpose of this post? You have a job elsewhere, and want to determine the likelihood of collecting severance from IBM?
IM me for a position at Deloitte
