I’m an independent FA with a small BD. One of my partners has a BGA that he wants me to roll under. Stay true independent FA with the insurance carrier or go AGA route for benefits???

Have you operated as both an independent and contracted agent?

I say go with the model the closest reflects your practice, I am also a bit biased to maintaining complete autonomy and ownership of your book and investment options for your clients.

I can’t stop feeling so behind all the time. It seems like every one of my peers doesn’t have to worry about student loans, car insurance (paid by their parents still) etc. I keep thinking about how if I didn’t have all these bills I’d maybe have some savings that I could be proud of. Currently A2 making 65K in HOL and I feel like I’ll never be able to save up for a down payment or wedding or anything. Just feeling discouraged.

Benefits of wearing masks: 1) Reduce spread of Covid and save lives 2) By reducing spread, we can open up the economy sooner and get people back to work. Note: we didn’t wear masks during the flu season because Covid is 10x deadlier. Any questions?

Totally goofed an interview, was in sell mode/selling myself, but the I didn’t want to come on to strong so I buffered with “oh yeah I can do some of the work.” 🤦🏼‍♀️ Knowing full well I’d be an asset

Cyber: EY vs Accenture - which do you think will give me better exit ops when up for Manager (2-3yrs)? Accenture seems very ahead of the game when it comes to tech, but im also trying to get less hands-on implementation and more into strategy and selling, which seems like it might align more with EY. These are just gut feelings tho, would like input from people in the know.
