I'm at a crossroads professionally.. I' very been just seeing what's out there for jobs. I've noticed a lot of temote positions. For those who work remotely, do you enjoy it? What are it's drawbacks?

I’ve been pretty much remote since Covid. Personally I just appreciate how much time I’ve gotten back in my life not spent getting ready or commuting. My company just announced rto starting in the fall tho two days a week. Not sure how they’ll enforce it since most of the company is remote.

Love being remote, however as I get older I need to make sure I am still getting outside and getting daily exercise

I've been working remotely for the past few years, and I've gotten used to it and I find it quite productive. But, it took me a while to get to that point. When I started working from home during the pandemic I really had a hard time getting focused. It was just too easy to get distracted. And then over time that shifted, and now I find that I can really concentrate. This sounds a little nutty, but sometimes I have to remind myself to get up and move around and stretch my legs. I'll get so involved with what I'm doing that I'll sit for too long, which isn't great for one's health.

Additional Posts in Overemployed

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months.
