Interviewing with a small (50 people) boutique firm in a management position. They are in an industry I have 10 years of experience plus I have 5 years management consulting experience in B4 firm. Assuming the pay and potential bonus are reasonable what kind of challenges would I be in for? I already understand this would be a risk to join and help them grow but if I were successful I think it could be very rewarding.

I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. I recently quit my job. My VP was a narcissist and never really looked out for my upward progression even though he said he was my sponsor. Whenever I would do a solid job, he would always down play it or give the mid-level mgr credit even though other people / management acknowledged it. But we still got along. When I gave my two week notice, I did not meet up or talk to him (I cancelled a good bye 1-on-1 b/c I was over it) - sent a short thank you email instead and ghosted. Was this justified?

I recently did a job interview and I made it clear to the HR my expectation salary is 60k a year, non negotiable.
Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.
