I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

No, it's time to leave.
I've been where you are. You may think your running the account but honestly your just doing your job. Executing work and selling to your client. Doesn't mean you are running your account. Unfortunately sometimes you don't realize how much bs your CD is dealing with on the account or maybe even other accounts they're on. When it comes to being a CD your work becomes a lot more management and admin bullshit then execution. If you're respected stay where you are and learn, if your creative director just sits and plays in the computer – then maybe it's time to go.
Holy shit, you millennials are unreal! 6 months and I know how to do everything and deserve a raise?!?! STEP UP SNOWFLAKE!! Your agency needs you to perform above your pay grade, without whining about it.
It's one word and it's spelled like this: oversight. Now, about your raise for 6 months work - what do you have to show for it? What projects have you delivered and successfully?
Ha, an office. I remember those. 👆🏻
No. It's time to do good work.
No. Pay your dues.
@cd1 why do you have to blame everything on millennials. If @OP thinks he/she deserves a raise, he/she should present pros of why they do .
Time to ✌🏻- new or not, don't be taken advantage of
@CD1 - you're entertaining. I thoroughly laughed at your posts and generalizations. *eats popcorn*
I've never seen so many people get so hung up about a typo on the internet before 😱
Pay your dues somewhere else. It doesn't seem like you're going to learn much there.
Depends on the work they're doing and scope. I think raises and promotions should be expedited if the work quality matched that of a role above them. If all is true, this is more reflective of either 1) poor org structure 2) misdelegated responsibilities 3) unqualified managers or 4) over scoped account.
That's fine. Also, not all that unusual or out of this world effort in our business. Add it to your list of accomplishments when you discuss your performance and potential raise at your 1 year review
If you're doing all the work because your place is understaffed, take the experience you got and leave immediately. You will never learn enough, but people will hire you based on the fact that you did your best under fire. If you're doing all the work because you're smarter than everyone else, you probably aren't, and need a reality check, so you should also probably leave, and find out how wrong you are.
It's a very tight team (the other AD is not even 50% allocated) with little to no day to day involvement on the CDs part for the last 4 or so months. Have sold in multiple platforms to the client, have developed the look and feel for a majority of these platforms on some crazy tight turn arounds, aided in product launch development etc
It's time for spellcheck. Oversight!
@associate AD1 thanks for your helpful response
Starcom, thanks! What would you say to a kid with 6 months experience who think they deserve a raise?
How do you define running the business? If you're new you have no idea how to run a business. Or your CD is a douche.
