Might as well keep applying, you don't improve your chances by stopping.

Keep applying, but you’re young. You should have low overhead and if you have to go live even cheaper in some other place just do it. Use this time to read, learn, explore and grow as a person and an artist. You’ll have plenty of time to work 80 hours a week on banner campaigns later.
God this comment is sad
Hang in there...same on the senior end.

Don’t give up. I’m about to get an official offer early next week.
You might have a better chance connecting with cds and hr directly on LinkedIn.
Consumer agencies are struggling. Pharma agencies are hiring like crazy, including Area23 and FCB Health. Perhaps you want to give it a shot?
You have plenty of free time as the rest of us who are in limbo, use it. What do you have to lose? You’re young and low salaried vs us older folks, which makes you more attractive to hire. Most of the job openings I’m seeing on all the various hiring sites and LI are looking for creatives like you. And quite a few allow for remote work. I’d also search out fellow creatives on LI you want to connect with - but don’t just connect - send a note along when you do (LI offers that ability) about who you are and why you’re connecting. Good luck!
Trying doesn't guarantee success, but not trying sure as shit guarantees failure.
Never stop applying, you never know what could happen. It can be disheartening to apply for a job and not hear back, but you’ve got nothing to lose. The law of probability says that the more you apply, the greater your odds.

No point in stopping completely. All you're doing is taking your chances from slim down to none.
BTW, as a creative, "applying" for a job (via LinkedIn or the agency's website) is the least effective way to try and get a job.
If you don't already have contacts or connections, make some. Reach out to people. Mid-level creatives. ACDs. CDs. Share your book. Ask for feedback. Advice. Maybe an informational interview (phone or zoom).
And every conversation you have, ask them if there's anyone else they think would be worth talking to for more feedback. Any name they give you, you can now email and say "XYZ said I should reach out to you" and suddenly, you have their attention.
You gotta hustle it a little.
This was really hard for me as a Jr, because I'm naturally pretty shy and I hate "networking" — but it works much, much better than "applying" to jobs.
This is such good advice for an introvert like myself who is also ambitious. Thanks for sharing!
Keep going. Set some goals for how many jobs you apply to per week. Looking for a job is a full-time job in itself. Gotta persevere and it will pay off. I looked for 4 months straight and it was tiring but the reward of finding a great job was worth it in the end.
I jumped over to pharma end of April to make money while I wait for more junior/mid level positions to open back up on the consumer side. The work is deadly, but...money is nice AND now I can use that money to pay artists to help me create additional spec pieces for my portfolio to beef it up a bit for when jobs return
I did this and then the stars aligned a few weeks later. Might have been luck, Not caring, who knows, but it worked out for me. Good luck!
