I'm currently in the brand agency world as a Senior Client Manager, but gauging how to enter the 'brand consultancy' space (e.g. Lippincott , Prophet, Accenture Interactive/Accenture Song). Are they typically better paid? And do account people get much traction in that arena? Current staffers at those places appear to be ex-strategists or ex-consultants (MBB).

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity.
