Hi, did anybody ever experience wrong tax calculations by JPMC Payroll/tax team ? Or is there any specific month where they deduct more tax. Huge amount of tax deduction is done for Oct payout. From my CA’s calculation the amount deducted by JPMC team looks wrong. Anybody experienced this?

Yes, it’s possible. I kept a US address and worked for a US company, but lived outside of the US. My firm allowed the hours worked to be reported as worked in my “home” state and at the end of the year, I filed both a US non-resident tax return and a tax return in the country I lived in (which has a tax treaty with the US, so gave me credit for US taxes paid). It was not advantageous from a tax point of view, mind you...

Wait why does it matter if OP has a job in the US for which they’re on H1B and then they have a job outside the US? Why should the H1B be affected by the second job?
