That’s a good AS salary. Range is 60 to 90
Hey OP, $70-90k is the right AS range for NYC. I’d say the number depends more on account than years of experience.
Promotion) that people with a lower title, are making the same as me (with less experience) because they came in with hire base salaries. Trying not to make the same mistake twice
How many years of experience do you have? That's a good range, but depending on your years of experience I might recommend you telling them a single number on the higher end vs. giving them a range. If you give them a range, they'll give you the low end of it - and you need to be sure that that would still be reasonable.
4.5 with 2 years of managerial experience with people who were at the AAE level
I’m a supervisor, 7.5 years of experience making $85k + bonus. It’s the high end for AS, at least in a non-major market
Thanks AS2! I should have mentioned that I’m based in NYC. I’ve had a few AM peers tell/show me that they’re making $75K, with the same amount of experience than me (currently making $60K). And a few close friends who are the level below me at my agency told me they came in at $60K (but with a year less experience). Either way, I’m sure it’s a larger amount compared to smaller markets, I just want to position my self for success in negotiating moving forward. 👍
@OP good luck! You definitely have to ask for what you want going in
Depends on where you go and what account you work on. I have 4 years of experience, work on global business and negotiated up my salary to $90k. I know some AS / BMs that make up to $112k. Know your worth.
