I’m currently on a Secondment at a PE firm (100% utilized, 6-9months) and my partner still asks me to help out with BD/sales at EY. I’ve said no several times and now she’s becoming demanding. How should I navigate through this? Still wanna maintain a good relationship with the partner and EY, but been so close of just hanging up the call several times.

I just started a new job and am liking it. However, I just found out they’re hiring an ex-coworker, who is more junior to me/less experience but giving them the same title + salary as me. This is upsetting me, and I don’t know how to approach without sounding petty or jealous.

I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I stood up and asked to be included on available dates and said I will attend virtually but asking me to be away for 4 additional full days away from my family without asking me is not OK. I already travel a lot and this boundary is super important to me. Am I right or wrong?

One of my MD’s asked me to update a workbook with new deal info on a sheet they created in September. I did it with the new cap structure they gave, and got a paragraph back telling me it was wrong, and to use a different cap structure. Sent it back, same exact response with a third cap structure. I put these in and am sent a “your book is a mess,” when all of the “errors” they pointed out were errors from the original sheet from them and I got blamed. I just graduated, how do I deal with this?

Started interviewing to get negotiation leverage as our company is being acquired. Got some offers but I’m getting offers faster than the acquisition deal is closing within my current role.
