I’m going on 10 YOE (3 at Big 4, 4 at regional, going on 4 in industry) and looking to transition to a M level role but still IA. I don’t currently hold any certifications, but recently finished up an InfoSec MBA and am working towards a CISA. Is this cert. just as acceptable as a CIA or am i creating more work for myself since some companies are fine with just the mba and experience…. Any insights would be great!

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.
